Flexibility, friendliness and ability to mix with us was second to none.

"I recently held a family and friends event over a week and needed an outside caterer to provide two meals, one for my family who were staying for the weekend and one for our friends who were staying the rest of the week. This meant catering for 9 for the first meal and 15 for the second meal. As it was family it was decided to have a BBQ for the family who included many children! The second meal was going to be a Spanish night starting with a large selection of Tapas.

 

Our requirements were wide and varied and included a pescatarian and some with serious allergies. In addition I wanted at least a couple of choices for the main dinner for our friends. I found Miranda so easy to work with and extremely accommodating. After some discussion by email we finalised both menus and waited for the dates for the meals to arrive. The venue we were staying in was not known by Miranda and her colleague so fingers crossed they turned up for the first meal, a BBQ.

 

We did not need to worry at all as they came into the kitchen they immediately fitted in with my family and in no time ago it was as if we had known each other for years. With 5 grandchildren ranging from 2 to 12 there were periods when the kitchen had to be shared a little as the respective parents needed to cook the meals for the young ones. This was absolutely no problem and we had a fantastic meal served in the dining room by Miranda and Carol. The service level was amazingly high, starting with laying up the table, preparing and cooking the food, serving the food and then clearing it up. All the time they had a smile on their faces and were extremely helpful and accommodating. Nothing wand as too much trouble.

 

So we then moved onto the more formal dinner for our friends which was a Spanish Evening. I explained to our friends that they were in for a treat with the menu that Miranda and I had agreed on. I was especially looking forward to a particular tapas dish which I love and she did not disappoint. The menu was superb with the Tapas being one of the best we had tasted outside of Spain. The range was brilliant with some new types of Tapas mixed with the more traditional ones. Almost all of our friends love visiting Spain and were totally impressed with what was on offer. And this was before the mains came out - a fish or chicken dish which was equally delicious. The desert, created by Mirandas colleague, was literally out of this world and even though we were quite full by this stage no one left anything on their plates – superb. We finally ended the evening with a brilliant cheeseboard of local cheeses with suitable additions like figs to compliment them. At the time we were so full we had to wait until the next day and the rest of week to consume them but again they were a brilliant choice.

 

Having tried the four outside caterers recommended by the site we booked the house from I can say that the response, flexibility, friendliness and ability to mix with us was second to none. We (and our friends and family) can strongly recommend “The Kitchen Garden” if you are looking for an outside caterers."
